Jenna contacted me with a clear vision of what she wanted for her shoot. She had done a few shoots before and really liked some of the images but had also received some that she felt did not represent her and her businesses essence. We brainstormed to come up with a concept that would be a visual representation of both her as a person and the message that she wanted to convey about her brand.
Jenna is a performance coach who works with highly motivated business people such as CEO’s, MD’s and managers. Because of this her coaching style is sharp and direct. She wanted to capture the woman that she is, as well as the coach and the heart of her approach to therapy and coaching. Within Jenna’s brand there is a tension between the feminine and the masculine both in what she does and the way that this is represented through her brand. Jenna wanted to hold both of these energies in the photoshoot and have it represented through the images.
The brief for the images was soft, natural and approachable, as well as simple, sophisticated and elegant. Overall Jenna wanted to give an impression of openness and receptivity. She wanted to show both her gentle, beautiful, marshmallow heart and the seriousness and warrior woman that she is. To capture the growth and success that she has achieved over the last while through both her appearance and the images.
I think that we managed to do just that. Simple yet striking imagery that shows Jenna’s openness that also show her quiet confidence and strength.
